The gray stone pit stood out strikingly on the lush green grass. Lin Qianhuan frowned, gesturing with her hand, and then withdrew it speechlessly.

The stone pit was like a bowl, only palm-sized at the opening, a small stone bowl. The light within the space was excellent, so she could see the inconspicuous drop of Spirit Spring water at the bottom.

Lin Qianhuan was faintly worried, “If I just leave it like this, won’t it evaporate?”

[Host, no need to worry. Spirit Spring water is not affected by the outside world and will not evaporate or be contaminated when not in use.]

Hearing the system’s response, Lin Qianhuan was relieved. She stared at the single drop of Spirit Spring water for a while before leaving the space.

Just this one drop, even if it were in her mouth, she probably wouldn’t feel any effect.

It would be better to accumulate it little by little. When there was enough, she could take it out for the whole family to use together.

Lin Qianhuan closed her eyes contentedly and fell asleep instantly after wrapping herself in the quilt.

At night, the roars of zombies constantly drifted by, interspersed with screams and chaotic footsteps, weaving a bloody song of the apocalypse.

The next day, Lin Qianhuan woke up early as usual, but she didn’t go downstairs for breakfast. Instead, she opened her phone to check the outside situation.

Social media seemed to have lost its restraints. Any bloody photos or videos could be uploaded without hindrance. Survivors were on edge, only able to vent their emotions in the comments sections.

Lin Qianhuan scrolled through the comment sections filled with profanity. The content was basically the same, mainly complaining about the government and the military’s inaction, failing to eliminate these terrifying monsters in time.

But in reality, everyone heard the non-stop gunfire day and night, but anger always needed a release. They were just looking for a scapegoat to vent their anger on.

Lin Qianhuan casually swiped away those complaining videos and then saw a familiar face.

Zhao Zhuqing.

In the video, he was demonstrating his earth-type Superpower, with two small earth spikes magically appearing at the flick of his fingertips, moving up and down under his control.

The video had already reached 10,000 likes, with thousands of comments.

Lin Qianhuan curled her lips sarcastically. She saw this video in a local push notification, which proved that not only her, but many survivors in Yuncheng had also seen Zhao Zhuqing’s video.

She opened his homepage with interest and couldn’t help but laugh out loud after seeing the content.

She knew that Zhao Zhuqing liked to hear others praise and fawn over him. These words could greatly satisfy his vanity.

But Lin Qianhuan really didn’t expect that Zhao Zhuqing would actually take pictures of all the supplies he had hoarded and post them online.

Canned goods, mineral water, anti-inflammatory drugs, rice, flour, instant noodles, ham sausages…

Before the apocalypse, these might not be much, but now, these supplies were enough to become his death warrant.

“This Zhao Zhuqing, he really thinks he’s lived too long.”

Lin Qianhuan zoomed in on one of the photos, seeing the exterior of the residential building outside through the window.

Just the information revealed by this window was enough to make Zhao Zhuqing a fat sheep in the eyes of many people.

So what if he was an earth-type Superpower user? It wasn’t like he was the only one who had awakened their abilities.

Lin Qianhuan put down her phone, her gaze shifting to the outside of the window, a faint confusion in her heart.

Why would Zhao Zhuqing choose to hoard supplies in advance?

Could it be that he was also reborn?

Lin Qianhuan stroked her chin, thinking about it again and again, but still felt that something was wrong.

With Zhao Zhuqing’s personality, if he were really reborn, the first thing he would do would definitely be to seek revenge on her.

After all, he was skinned alive by her in his previous life, and the pain he suffered was unbearable for ordinary people.

But Zhao Zhuqing didn’t. Apart from hoarding supplies, he didn’t seem to have changed in any way compared to his previous life.

So what exactly was the problem?

Lin Qianhuan sat blankly by the window, took out her phone and continued to browse Zhao Zhuqing’s video homepage, carefully looking through all the works he had posted.

Perhaps Zhao Zhuqing was deliberately concealing it. No one appeared in his works. He also covered most of his face with a mask in the videos showing off his powers, so people who were not very familiar with him couldn’t recognize him at all.

Lin Qianhuan zoomed in on the video pictures and carefully checked them, finally finding some clues in the corner of a supply photo.

Next to the sofa in the corner of this photo were a pair of black JK leather shoes.

And the only person around Zhao Zhuqing who liked to wear this kind of clothes was Chen Tianjing.

Could the problem be with her?

Lin Qianhuan’s heart was full of doubts. Rebirth was definitely impossible, so how did the two of them know that the apocalypse was coming and needed to hoard supplies?

Were they frightened by the zombie videos circulating online?

But they were penniless, so how could they so easily use money to prepare for a disaster that might not even exist?

Lin Qianhuan sat in front of the window for a full half an hour, but couldn’t think of any possible answer.

Her fingertip lightly tapped the table, tapping out a rhythmic beat.

“Whatever, if soldiers come, we’ll block them; if water comes, we’ll dam it. I can kill them once, I can kill them a second time.”

Lin Qianhuan’s voice was cold, but carried an unconcealable killing intent.

As long as these two posed a threat to her and her two older brothers, she would never let them continue to live in this world.

The sound of knocking on the door interrupted her thoughts. Her eldest brother’s voice came from outside the door.

“Huanhuan, are you up yet? Your second brother made wontons. Do you want to come downstairs and have a bowl?”

Lin Qianhuan hurriedly stood up, ran to the door and opened the bedroom door, running towards the dining room.

“Slow down, no one’s going to steal them from you.”

Lin Yixuan followed behind her helplessly, his eyes full of doting.

The wontons had thin skins and large fillings, sprinkled with some seaweed as a garnish. Lin Qianhuan drank the soup clean, letting out a satisfied burp.

Lin Wansheng timely handed her a cup of freshly brewed clear tea, the fragrance of the tea curling upwards, particularly refreshing.

“Today is already the fifth day of the zombie outbreak. The Yuncheng internet has exploded. I heard that many communities have lost water and electricity.”

Lin Yixuan looked at the news on his phone, his brow furrowed slightly.

Lin Qianhuan was not surprised by this news. The zombie riots led to frequent accidents. Water plants and power plants had suffered varying degrees of damage. It was already very good that they had lasted for five days.

Those with foresight had already taken advantage of the lack of water to hoard a lot, while those who were just waiting bitterly for others to rescue them and send warmth naturally became the first to suffer.

Lin Wansheng nodded in response, “I just discovered that the house also lost water when I was cooking. I estimate that Silver Bay Gardens is also going to become chaotic.”

With water and food, everyone could naturally live peacefully. Even if some troublemakers deliberately looked for trouble, it would only be a small matter.

But a lack of water, food, and medicine could take lives at critical moments.

Now that the water and electricity were out, and the food left over from the Spring Festival was about to be used up, many survivors had been forced to go out to search for supplies.

“It will definitely be chaotic, and the first target will definitely be our home.”
