The sky had already darkened, and the light rain continued to fall.

The walls were collapsing and damaged, and the survivors, in groups of two or three, were doing their best to repair the dilapidated walls with the materials they had.

Lin Qianhuan was in the front, and Jiang Xing was in the back. The distance between the two was neither too close nor too far, but it inexplicably gave people a sense of harmony.

Suddenly, a panting voice sounded from behind.

“Lin Qianhuan! Lin Qianhuan!”

Huang Cuiliu followed, draped in a somewhat tattered plastic bag, with some mud on her body, looking rather embarrassed.

“There’s a group of people outside the gate asking for you by name. You should go take a look.”

Lin Qianhuan was a little puzzled, paused slightly, and turned around.

“Who are they?”

Huang Cuiliu shook her head: “I don’t know. Anyway, the leader is a man in a wheelchair.”

She scratched her head: “To put it bluntly, he looks like he’s about to die, very miserable.”

Hearing her say this, Lin Qianhuan immediately understood who had come.

Number 1, who went by the alias Yi Hao, why did he think of coming to Silver Bay Gardens to find her?

Lin Qianhuan turned her head to look at Jiang Xing, but unexpectedly, he also shook his head slightly, obviously not knowing why that person had come.

“Never mind, I’ll go take a look at him.

Thank you, Sister Huang, for taking the time to come and tell me even when you’re so busy.”

Lin Qianhuan smiled at Huang Cuiliu, who patted her shoulder carelessly.

“It’s nothing. You’re a great benefactor to our Silver Bay Gardens. What I’m doing is just a small matter.

You go quickly, I still have to go find stockpiled materials to repair the wall.”

With that, she waved her hand and turned to leave.

Lin Qianhuan rubbed her shoulder with a wry smile and walked towards the entrance of the villa area.

“The strength of an Evolver really can’t be underestimated. I estimate my shoulder will be sore for a while.”

Jiang Xing frowned slightly and reached out to pull on the hem of her clothes: “Go home and apply medicine. How can that guy be more important than your health?”

Lin Qianhuan didn’t stop for a moment, and walked forward with Jiang Xing all the way.

“He’s not a simple person. To come from Wei City to Yuncheng with a sick body, he must have something important to ask me.

The medicine can be applied anytime, it’s just that he…”

Lin Qianhuan curled her lips and chuckled, “I’m afraid if I go late, this guy will catch a cold in the rain and pass out. That would be terrible.”

After all, she knew Yi Hao’s physical condition very well, he was just using his Superpower to keep his last breath.

She quickened her pace, and Jiang Xing, caught off guard, felt the hem of her clothes he was lightly holding between his fingers suddenly disappear, leaving only a slight chill.

The hand holding the umbrella handle tightened slightly, and the slender fingers turned faintly white, showing the owner’s displeasure.

Some people are better off dead than alive.

Yi Hao, who was waiting bitterly in front of the gate, didn’t know that he, who wouldn’t live much longer anyway, was already on Jiang Xing’s assassination list.

Lin Qianhuan held up an umbrella and walked out of the villa area. At first glance, she saw a large group of people surrounding Yi Hao.

They were tall, with cold and haggard faces, standing silently in place like puppets.

Looking at them, one could only feel that their eyes were dull and scattered, without any vitality.

It seemed that they had been so thoroughly tainted by Yi Hao’s blood that they had no self-awareness.

Lin Qianhuan sighed, stepped forward, and looked down at the man in the wheelchair.

His face was as pale as paper, his lips were stained with a bit of vibrant color, and his appearance was somewhat enchantingly beautiful.

What a sickly beauty.

“Do you need something from me?”

She asked softly, her slender eyelashes fluttering up and down, carrying a hint of inquiry.

Yi Hao took a deep breath and Squeeze out barelya gentlemanly smile from the corner of his lips, but his gaze skipped over Lin Qianhuan and landed on Jiang Xing.

“It’s strange, how come you’re not dead?”

His voice was faint and hoarse, not clear at all.

Jiang Xing looked at him coldly, and seeing Lin Qianhuan Rubbedher shoulder without a trace, the displeasure in his heart grew even stronger.

“You’re surprised?

I’m also surprised that you’re still alive.”

Hearing him say this, Yi Hao wasn’t annoyed, and the smile on his lips deepened.

“You’re talking more, and you have a bit of humanity, which is surprising.”

Jiang Xing fixed his gaze on Lin Qianhuan’s shoulder and didn’t reply.

“Okay, you two don’t have any feelings for each other, there’s no need to reminisce here.

Tell me, Yi Hao, what do you want from me?”

Lin Qianhuan raised her hand to catch a drop of rainwater falling from the umbrella, only to feel it was chilling to the bone.

Yi Hao took out a handkerchief, coughed a few times with difficulty, and nodded apologetically to Lin Qianhuan.

“Sorry, I really am disturbing you.

But there is one thing I want to ask of you. After it’s done, I will give you a generous reward.”

Lin Qianhuan looked at him with her arms crossed, and a warm coat suddenly appeared on her shoulders.

She looked back, only to see Jiang Xing standing behind her in just a sweatshirt.

“You’ll be cold wearing only this.”

He didn’t say much, but reached out to help her fasten the top button, making sure the coat wouldn’t fall off.

Lin Qianhuan didn’t refuse, and turned her gaze back to Yi Hao: “You have something to ask of me?

Sorry, I don’t want to help you.

I just got rid of the zombie horde in Yuncheng, I’m very tired and just want to rest for a while.”

Yi Hao raised his pale hand and took out a piece of paper from his pocket.

The edge of the paper was black and yellow from being burned. It sounded a bit brittle, like a remnant from a fire.

Lin Qianhuan noticed the back of his hand. Because his skin was overly pale and his body was thin, the color of his blood vessels was particularly prominent.

It even looked a little frightening.

But the other party didn’t seem to notice her gaze at all, and very naturally raised his hand to hand the paper to her.
