Sitting in the driver’s seat, Lin Wansheng glanced at their interaction through the rearview mirror, frowning slightly with dissatisfaction.

However, he understood that Lin Qianhuan was indeed exhausted, and after restraining himself, he ultimately didn’t say anything.

Sitting in the back, Jiang Minhui felt the atmosphere in the car becoming somewhat oppressive.

After I go home to get my things, I can lead you there.”

Lin Qianhuan nodded in agreement, “Okay, how long will you need?”

Jiang Minhui thought for a moment and replied, “About half an hour should be enough.”

“OK.”

Seeing that Lin Qianhuan and the others were going to spend the night with her, Jiang Minhui nodded excitedly and quickly ran into Phoenix Community.

She was observant and perceptive, and after spending time with them, she could naturally tell that they didn’t have any malicious intent towards her.

Most of the windows were broken, and the walls, ground, and cars were covered in blood.

The stench of blood and the aura of decay and death seemed to solidify, making Phoenix Community desolate and terrifying.

It was like a dilapidated residential building from a horror movie.

Phoenix Community was old and dilapidated, with only six residential buildings in total, so patrolling it didn’t take much effort.

The zombie dog was large and couldn’t hide inside the buildings, so they didn’t need to waste time searching inside.

After confirming that it had left the community, Lin Qianhuan and the others turned to return to the SUV to wait for Jiang Minhui when they heard the faint cry of a baby.

Perhaps it had been hungry for too long, but the cry sounded like the mewing of a kitten, eerily strange in the dark stairwell.

Lin Qianhuan looked up alertly, her gaze fixed on the window on the second floor of Building 3.

He took the lead, entering the house and following the sound to open the frosted glass door of the balcony.
