I forcefully pushed away “Wanyun” who had collapsed on me, quickly scrambled up from the ground, and before I could bend down to pick up the Mo Dao (a type of long, heavy sword) from the ground, a group of soldiers wielding horizontal sabers charged towards me.

The horizontal saber was the standard weapon for city-defending soldiers, less than a meter long, with a narrow blade, usable as both a saber and a sword.

I quickly retreated a few steps, picked up an arrow from the ground, and held it in my right hand as a weapon.

Several horizontal sabers thrust towards me, and I retreated a few more steps.

At that moment, I saw over a dozen arrows on the ground near my feet, and suddenly an idea struck me.

I raised the arrow in my hand above my head, flicked my wrist, and the arrow flew towards the group of soldiers, hitting one soldier squarely in the leg.

The soldier couldn’t bear the pain, was forced to drop his horizontal saber, and fell to the ground howling.

Then, I picked up another arrow from the ground and shot it towards the group of soldiers again, and another soldier fell in response.

I successively picked up over a dozen arrows from the ground and shot them at the group of soldiers one by one, each arrow hitting its mark.

Although these soldiers were not killed instantly by my arrows, they were either shot in the leg or the arm, and all lost their ability to attack.

Originally, there were a few soldiers holding horizontal sabers, preparing to pounce on me, but seeing that my arrows never missed their target, they were so frightened that they involuntarily retreated a few steps.

As the saying goes: When the enemy advances, I retreat; when the enemy retreats, I pursue.

I took one arrow in each of my left and right hands and chased after those few soldiers.

Having witnessed my superb archery skills, they were terrified and turned to flee in all directions.

Taking the opportunity, I bent down and picked up the Mo Dao that I had previously dropped on the ground.

The soldiers on the city tower began to shoot arrows at me again, but I dodged them all.

I carried the Mo Dao and ran straight towards the city gate.

Near the city gate, a few stubbornly resisting soldiers were sent reeling by my Mo Dao.

I quickly opened the city gate.

Outside the city gate, Li Shimin on horseback, along with his generals and soldiers, were watching the city intently.

As soon as the city gate was opened, Qin King Li Shimin waved his hand, and the soldiers and generals spurred their horses and rushed into the city.

Speaking of which, as I opened the city gate, other soldiers had already rescued Wang Shichong, who was tied to a saddle, from under “Wanyun”.

Li Shimin and his subordinates charged into the city aggressively, like a flood breaking through a dam.

This city seemed ordinary, but both I and Li Shimin had underestimated it.

After tens of thousands of soldiers had all entered the city, with a “clang” sound, the city gate suddenly closed automatically.

Although we had entered the city, we had only entered an outer city within the city.

This inner city was rectangular, about a mile wide and five miles long, with tall city walls built on all sides and four city gates in the east, south, west, and north.

When Li Shimin and his soldiers entered this city, we suddenly felt something was wrong.

The enemy soldiers in this city seemed to be playing hide-and-seek with us, all of them disappearing as if they had evaporated from the world.

After greeting Li Shimin, I walked over to “Wanyun”.

“Wanyun” was lying quietly on the ground, not yet dead. It had been hit by several sharp arrows and, possibly due to the extreme pain, had staggered and fallen to the ground while struggling.

Li Shimin handed me a bottle of medicinal powder specifically for treating horse wounds. This medicinal powder stopped bleeding quickly and could help wounds heal rapidly.

After pulling out the arrows from “Wanyun’s” body, I helped it apply the medicinal powder to the wounds.

In just a short while, “Wanyun” was able to stand up from the ground.

Looking at this “empty” city, Li Shimin reminded his soldiers to be vigilant and to be ready to face the enemy at any time.

“So many wolves!” Several soldiers suddenly exclaimed loudly.

We looked in the direction of the sound and saw that the north city gate had been quietly opened, and hundreds and thousands of wolves were pouring out, charging towards us.

These wolves were extremely large, twice the size of ordinary wolves, with brown-yellow fur, and ran extremely fast.

Their targets were mainly the soldiers, and some soldiers on horseback were not spared.

Once these wolves tasted human blood, they became even more ferocious.

After biting soldiers to death, they did not immediately eat them, but continued to attack other soldiers.

In an instant, the city became a river of blood, and thousands of soldiers fell into the pool of blood.

Although these soldiers held weapons, they were unable to resist such ferocious packs of wolves.

I wielded the Mo Dao, wishing I could kill a wolf with every strike.

But these wolves were very cunning and extremely agile, jumping up and down, dodging left and right.

But even so, I could still kill a wolf within ten seconds.

Although I could kill a wolf within ten seconds, these wolves could also bite a soldier to death within ten seconds.

In less than half an hour, the seventy to eighty thousand soldiers led by Qin King Li Shimin were either dead or wounded, and very few were left.

Of course, most of the wolves were also dead, with only a hundred or so left.

These wolves had very good stamina, possibly because they had drunk human blood, and they attacked and bit our soldiers non-stop.

The remaining wolves were exceptionally fierce, but the remaining soldiers were also exceptionally brave.

The humans and wolves fought fiercely for another ten minutes, leaving only the last three wolves and about a dozen of us.

To avoid more innocent casualties, I asked everyone to stand behind me, and I alone would fight the three wolves.

The remaining three wolves were probably the wolf kings of the pack, each with a strong physique, and they all stared fiercely at me, who was holding the Mo Dao.

Although I wielded the Mo Dao with a whistling sound, these three wolves were not fish on a chopping board, so how could they let me slaughter them?

They stayed far away from me and did not take the initiative to attack me, so I really had no way to deal with them for a while.

You can’t catch wolves without taking risks.

In order to lure the wolves to attack me, I threw the Mo Dao on the ground and picked up a horizontal saber in my hand.

Seeing that I was only holding a weapon about a meter long, the three wolves instantly surrounded me.

I held the horizontal saber and walked back and forth.

Finally, one of the wolves lost its patience and pounced on me.

In the nick of time, I suddenly fell backward, grasped the horizontal saber with both hands, and lifted it upward with force. There was a miserable “Aww!” The wolf that had pounced on me was stabbed in the chest by my horizontal saber.

Because this wolf had pounced too fiercely, it fell to the ground headfirst after being stabbed by the horizontal saber I was holding up.

Before I could get up from the ground, the other two wolves also took the opportunity to pounce on me.

I lay on the ground, bent my right leg at the knee, suddenly exerted force with my right foot to kick, and rolled to the left.

The two wolves missed their target.

I jumped up from the ground, holding the horizontal saber, pointing at the two wolves that were approaching me step by step.

Another wolf pounced on me fiercely.

Using speed to counter speed, while retreating a step, I thrust the saber fiercely towards the wolf’s wide-open mouth.
