I stuck my head out of the tree hollow, but I didn’t see the thing making the “buzzing” sound.

I then crawled out of the tree hollow and looked around the sparse baobab tree forest, still unable to find what was making the “buzzing” sound.

I looked up into the sky again.

“Oh my god!” The source of the “buzzing” sound turned out to be a ladybug-shaped aircraft about the size of a washbasin.

It was circling above our baobab tree forest, as if searching for something.

Old Lin, Old Zhang, and Wen Rourou must have also heard the “buzzing” sound, as they all climbed out of their tree hollows one after another.

Unfortunately, just as the three of them climbed out of the tree hollows, before they could even clearly see what the “buzzing” aircraft looked like, it suddenly flew away, its speed so fast that it seemed to disappear in an instant.

I described the shape and size of the aircraft I had just seen to the three of them.

“Most importantly, this aircraft’s flight speed is too fast, almost approaching the speed of light,” I said definitively.

“So, it seems this ghostly place is hiding some high technology?” Old Zhang said with a smile.

I showed everyone the video of the aircraft that I had just taken with my phone. When they saw the scene of the aircraft suddenly disappearing, they all felt it was somewhat unbelievable.

In the following days, the aircraft that made the “buzzing” sound never visited our baobab tree forest again.

In the blink of an eye, we had been transported here for over a month.

We ate baobab fruit and baobab leaves for all three meals a day, but we never got tired of it. When thirsty, we drank the water stored in the baobab trees.

A baobab tree that has begun to bear fruit usually produces hundreds of baobab fruits.

We ate twenty baobab fruits every day, and the fruits from one tree were enough for us to eat for a week.

Under normal circumstances, a baobab tree can bear fruit three times a year, but here, a baobab tree can bear fruit nearly a hundred times a year.

We now had no worries about food or drink, and we also had a place to live, so we weren’t in a hurry to travel back.

Of course, being anxious wouldn’t help, as there were no caves to be found in this desolate land.

To pass the unchanging time, we didn’t idle away any day, busy transplanting baobab tree seedlings.

During this time, our workload was still very large, transplanting almost a thousand baobab tree seedlings every day.

With our day-after-day labor, the area of this baobab tree forest also grew larger and larger.

The most significant change was the improvement in the air quality in this baobab tree forest; we could no longer see floating dust.

On about the fortieth day after we were transported here, while we were busy transplanting baobab tree seedlings, we suddenly heard the “buzzing” sound again.

We looked up at the sky and saw a ladybug-shaped aircraft about the size of a washbasin circling above our baobab tree forest.

Old Lin, Old Zhang, and Wen Rourou were seeing this aircraft for the first time, and they were all somewhat excited, waving at it while shouting loudly.

Whether the aircraft saw us or heard the shouts of the three of them, it actually flew directly to the sky above our heads.

Then, it slowly descended from mid-air until it was almost at the same height as our heads, and then hovered there.

“Where did you come from?” The “buzzing” aircraft actually spoke, and it was speaking in Chinese.

“Where did you come from?” Old Zhang asked in return.

“I am an intelligent aircraft from Black Hole Star and have been working here for a year,” the “buzzing” aircraft replied.

“You say this is Black Hole Star, then which country does this belong to? What year is it now?” Wen Rourou asked impatiently.

“Black Hole Star is a planet located at the edge of the solar system. It does not belong to any country. Today is July 5, 2042,” the intelligent aircraft replied.

Everyone couldn’t believe their ears when they heard its answer.

“Then how far is Earth from here?” Wen Rourou continued to ask.

“Earth is at least 10 trillion kilometers away from here,” the intelligent aircraft replied patiently.

“One light-year is equal to 9.46 trillion kilometers. Even if we travel at the speed of light to get here, it would take at least a year,” Old Lin said with a look of astonishment.

“It seems that time travel is much faster than the speed of light. No matter where we travel to, it seems to happen in an instant,” I said with a smile.

“This intelligent aircraft says today is July 5, 2042, so haven’t we traveled to twenty years in the future?” Wen Rourou looked at the three of us and then said with a smile.

I nodded with a smile and then looked at Old Lin and asked, “Shifu, didn’t you buy a very professional astronomical telescope last time? Have you observed this planet?”

“My astronomical telescope probably can’t observe this planet. In the solar system, there are many solid substances, such as planets, satellites, asteroids, and comets and meteoroids, interstellar matter, etc., they can all absorb and reflect sunlight, and they can all be illuminated by sunlight. But if they cannot be illuminated by sunlight, we cannot observe them even with the largest astronomical telescope.”

Old Lin paused, then continued, “In fact, we can discover various celestial bodies and small celestial bodies in the solar system because the sunlight illuminates them. Currently, we can see small celestial bodies that are more than 100 astronomical units (18 billion kilometers) away from the sun, indicating that the sun can at least illuminate objects that are more than 100 astronomical units away. Of course, the sunlight has traveled such a long distance and has become very weak, so it is difficult to observe them.”

I nodded.

“In what year was this Black Hole Star discovered?” Old Lin looked at the intelligent aircraft and asked.

“It was discovered two years ago,” the intelligent aircraft replied.

“Are there humans and animals on this planet? Is the place where you work far from here?” Wen Rourou looked at the intelligent aircraft and asked.

“There are only the four of you and me on this planet, no animals. The place where I work is 300,000 kilometers away from here,” the intelligent aircraft replied.

“Then you must be very lonely,” Wen Rourou said playfully.

The intelligent aircraft didn’t speak again. Perhaps it had received some instructions, because it slowly rose into the air and then, like a magic trick, suddenly disappeared without a trace.

Old Lin, Old Zhang, and Wen Rourou were all amazed when they saw this scene.

I suddenly thought of something and slapped my thigh, saying, “I forgot to ask the intelligent aircraft about the most important thing just now.”

When everyone looked at me, I showed a hesitant expression.
