TSM Chapter 31
by REX-NOVELISTS“Ding!”
It was another email from the same stranger, with only five words: The hospital is dangerous.
Based on the stranger’s (account 983) strong assistance the previous two times, Zuǒ Yú had some trust in him. Staring at the somewhat blurred information on the computer, he suddenly understood. He searched for the nearest hospital to Bì Yīng River Bend and called Shí Jiǎnbái while walking.
“Go to the hospital immediately, Gě Yáng is in danger!” Zuǒ Yú paused for a few seconds, then corrected himself: “The hospital is in danger.”
“A bomb, I suspect a bomb! Evacuate the people and leave as soon as possible, I’ll be there soon.”
The entire hospital was thrown into chaos by the frequent ringing of the alarm. Gě Yáng and Yì Dàjūn in the room were also at a loss. Shí Jiǎnbái frowned and shouted, “What are you doing standing there? Organize the evacuation! Hurry!”
He triggered the smoke alarm on the first floor, but couldn’t find that damned figure in sight. He tried to help the doctors stabilize the chaotic situation and escort the bedridden patients. Fewer and fewer people were in the hospital, and they were all whispering, some even suspecting it was a prank.
Shí Jiǎnbái took out his ID and shouted loudly, “Everyone evacuate to the back!”
Gě Yáng and Yì Dàjūn tacitly stretched out their arms, forcing the crowd to move back a few meters. Seeing that the hospital was almost empty, Shí Jiǎnbái grabbed a doctor and asked, “Is there anyone else outside?”
“N-no… probably not,” the doctor stammered, his eyes darting around, clearly lying. Shí Jiǎnbái caught it immediately.
Shí Jiǎnbái sighed heavily and was about to rush back into the hospital when a small hand grabbed his arm. A sudden voice sounded in his ear: “It’s too late!”
Looking back, he met Zuǒ Yú’s eyes. Zuǒ Yú saw the stubbornness in Shí Jiǎnbái’s eyes. Shí Jiǎnbái said firmly, “I can’t just stand by and watch!” As he said this, he resolutely chose to rush into the hospital while Zuǒ Yú was stunned.
Zuǒ Yú covered his forehead and stomped his foot, glaring sharply at the doctor and saying fiercely, “Where are they?”
“Third… the elevator entrance on the third floor.”
Zuǒ Yú raised his chin, whether to follow Shí Jiǎnbái’s footsteps and run into the hospital, he yelled at the confused Shí Jiǎnbái, “They’re on the third floor.” Then he took the lead and ran over.
This floor is… the children’s ward?!
These children all had some congenital diseases and had been abandoned by their unfeeling families. When Zuǒ Yú reached out to take the child’s hand, the children couldn’t understand their intentions due to their illness. They all started chattering and laughing, as if they thought they were going to play a game with them, and turned around, using their uncoordinated limbs to quickly hide.
The little girl happily took it, obediently hanging on Zuǒ Yú’s back. Then Zuǒ Yú walked to the three children huddled together, forcefully put his arms around them, and lifted them up, “Let’s go!”
The four ran desperately, sweat dripping down and wetting their clothes. They ran from the third floor in one breath. As they reached the first floor, an explosion roared. The seventh floor began to collapse, then the sixth floor, each floor exploding in an orderly fashion.
Zuǒ Yú shook his head, brushed his wet hair away, and pulled it back in front of his face. This explosion was much worse than he thought.
“As a major punishment, please accept it with a smile.”
They looked around vigilantly, only to hear the muffled sound of a motorcycle engine, gradually fading away…
“Officer, why don’t you check if the vegetative patient you just rescued has any vital signs?”
“What did you say?” Shí Jiǎnbái’s hand, grabbing the dean’s collar, loosened slightly.
