TSM Chapter 91
by REX-NOVELISTS“Yǐn Yuè, did I say something wrong? Why can’t we give each other a chance?”
“Miss Mǐn, when I set my mind on something, I will stick to it and go all out. It’s the same with people.”
Yǐn Yuè’s expression was serious. Feeling helpless, he hesitated before dialing a number. As soon as the call connected, Yǐn Yuè sighed softly, “Hello…”
The person on the other end of the line, Míng Xīng Yě, seemed a little shocked. She immediately recognized his voice and carefully replied, “Hello…”
“Meet me, give me the address.”
“What’s the matter?”
“My cousin is here, wanting to see me.”
“See me?” Seeming to sense something, Míng Xīng Yě tentatively asked, “Yǐn Yuè?”
“Yes…be careful on the road.”
“Okay…”
“One month from today, have Zuǒ Yú accompany me to a party.” As if afraid he wouldn’t agree, she quickly added, “As a friend.”
“Okay.” Yǐn Yuè was at ease, a doting smile curving his lips, appearing very gentle to the two people opposite him, a rare sight that left them confused.
Seemingly not expecting the man on the other end to agree to her request without hesitation, she was slightly stunned. The phone suddenly went silent. Yǐn Yuè held the phone away to look at it. Still in the call, he put it back to his ear. “Can we meet now?” His tone was gentle, his attitude a stark contrast.
“Okay…” Míng Xīng Yě blurted out almost unconsciously.
The call ended, and Léi Kěmèng stared with wide eyes, impatiently asking, “Who was that, brother?”
“My sister-in-law.” These simple three words shocked the two people opposite him. Mǐn Xī said in disbelief, “Don’t act. Auntie said I’ve only ever dated one boyfriend, and that’s the man in the photo.”
Under Léi Kěmèng’s incessant sharp noise, they entered a remote residential area—Green Rock Bay District. The entire residential area was filled with withered trees and cold winds. Even the security room was empty, looking somewhat desolate. Through the car window, Mǐn Xī couldn’t help but ask, “Where is this?”
“My home?” Mǐn Xī questioned, carefully getting out of the car with Léi Kěmèng, who was also full of doubts.
Yǐn Yuè went to the entrance of the unit and pressed the elevator button. There were five floors in total, one household per floor, meaning that there were five households in one building. When the elevator arrived on the fifth floor, they saw Míng Xīng Yě sitting at a table inside the door, calmly smoking.
A hint of panic flashed across Míng Xīng Yě’s eyes. Noticing the two people at the elevator entrance, she quickly put on a fake smile, stepped forward and took Yǐn Yuè’s arm, tilting her head slightly, her voice slightly raised and a little coquettish, “You just moved in, how would I know~”
Yǐn Yuè chuckled, gently stroking her hair with his big hand, and said in a doting voice, “There are still people here.”
“Hello, I’m Yǐn Yuè’s girlfriend,” Míng Xīng Yě took the initiative to extend her hand. Léi Kěmèng involuntarily handed over her hand, stammering, “I… hello, I… I’m his cousin.”
Míng Xīng Yě looked at Mǐn Xī as if she were the owner of the house, and tossed her beautiful waterfall-like wavy hair. “Okay, let’s go inside and talk. There are still guests.” She gently pushed Yǐn Yuè inward, shaking his arm with her small hand.
The door was pushed closed, revealing a spacious living room with nothing in it. The only piece of furniture was the table at the door. “Are you sure this house is renovated? Can people live here? Why isn’t there even a sofa? Where do we sit?” Léi Kěmèng asked a series of questions, looking at the space in front of her in disbelief, her face full of disgust.
“The house was burned down a while ago, usually… hotel? Office?” Yǐn Yuè said very lightly: “I don’t sleep much.” His words made Míng Xīng Yě’s eyes show an unspeakable emotion, watching his back walk to the door, her eyes gradually darkening as he called them in.
Mǐn Xī stared unblinkingly at Míng Xīng Yě’s face, until Léi Kěmèng jumped in front of them, blocking her view. “So… it was all a mistake by Auntie.”
“Auntie?” Míng Xīng Yě raised her eyebrows slightly, seeming to understand instantly. She crossed her arms and glared at Yǐn Yuè, then turned her gaze to Mǐn Xī and continued, “Yǐn Yuè’s mother has never liked me very much, so I apologize on his behalf if there was any misunderstanding.”
