Reaching the first floor, Cao Huailiang looked at the courtyard illuminated by the dim yellow light. The courtyard was empty, and there was no sound even when he listened carefully. Precisely because of this, he felt it was unusual, so he stopped walking, pulling his brother-in-law with him.

“There’s no one outside,” Zhou Kang tried to dispel his brother-in-law’s doubts.
